IRELAND PART I - LANDSCAPES (Page 1 of 3)

We travelled to Ireland in July 2002, and drove West exploring Counties Mayo, Connemara, Galway, and Clare. I found the landscape scenery very photogenic and in a short week visit captured the following photographs.

Connemara memorial acknowledging those that died from the great famine. (s)

Cliffs of Moher towering over 1000 feet above the North Atlantic Ocean. The gusting wind
required the use of an umbrella to keep the camera still. (l)

Near the small town of Maam, in Connemara. (s)

Sheep country outside of Louisburgh. This area resembles the Burren, with extensive exposed limestone. (s)
